I remember the excitement of purchasing video editing software to support my artist aspirations. However, when I upgraded my computer and tried to install the software on my new device, I encountered an unexpected hurdle. The software demanded an activation key to complete the installation process. Unfortunately, I lost that key a long time ago. Without that key, the software was rendered useless, leaving me frustrated and unable to unlock its full potential.
Just like that video editing software, we all have immense potential within us waiting to be activated. But what is the activation key that ignites that potential in your life? How can you unlock your true capabilities? Once that potential is released, personal and professional growth explodes.
These were my activation keys:
1. Inspirational and biblical books:
Reading inspirational and biblical books has been a game-changer for me when it came to unlocking my untapped potential. These books provided valuable insights, wisdom, and guidance that powered up my personal growth and transformation. Whether it was the Bible or books on leadership, these resources shone light into the untapped possibilities lying dormant in my inner being. Learning that God had a plan and purpose for my life encouraged me to understand and pursue that purpose (Jeremiah 29:11).
2. Conquer fear:
Fear is often the biggest obstacle that holds us back from reaching our full potential. It keeps us in our comfort zones and prevents us from finding out who we really are. What are you afraid of? Face your fears head-on and push through them, and you’ll build resilience and confidence! “Courage is not the absence of fear, but the awareness that something else is more important.”-Stephen Covey
3. Surround Yourself with Supportive Relationships:
The power of supportive relationships should not be underestimated when it comes to unlocking your true potential. You not only need cheerleaders to encourage you, but also “Challenge-leaders”, individuals who push you to dig deeper, reach farther, and climb higher.
